01Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to check a vehicle’s history, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, screen magnifiers or other assistive technology.

02Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We test new pages against it and fix problems as we find them.

03What we have done

  • Every page works with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines
  • Form fields have labels, and error messages are read out by screen readers
  • Text and buttons meet color contrast guidelines
  • Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion
  • Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens
  • Images and icons have text alternatives or are hidden from screen readers when decorative

04Known limitations

Some parts may not be fully accessible yet:

  • Charts in reports and the loan calculator have text summaries, but not every data point is available as text yet
  • Some older PDF sample reports may not be fully tagged
  • Third-party content, like payment pages, is controlled by those providers

05Compatibility

The site is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS.

06Feedback and help

If something on the site doesn’t work for you, tell us. We’ll try to reply within 2 business days, and we can send report information in another format.
